Production

Something we’ve lost the touch of in the United States is Production, unless we’re talking about media, because we’re the rulers of that economy. Empowered by the pain of others who manufacture our electronics in places like China and Brazil, we have affordable products such as quad-core processors, HD video and audio recording devices that integrates in to elaborate software based systems for things like television and radio production. While I can not easily resolve the problems of product manufacturing in other countries, I can resolve some of the distribution problems by operating with a more forward-looking model. I favor fair economic distribution and investment in to community.

Horizon Media reflects my vision for a production company that has current trends in mind and future trends on the horizon. For the past ten years, audio recording technology was moving toward “no moving parts” and if you look, its true, one can record a complete album using a Macbook Air with solid state external drives to be distributed online through downloadable media, to be played on peoples’ mobile devices with no moving parts. My capacity to do high quality audio recordings with 24 channels in a mobile set up is where I start, utilizing the best of modern trends.

For instance… No.Fest Music and Arts is an event that defies common festival models, integrating local shops, cafes, bars, and public spaces in to a festival that encourages attendees to eat, drink, and shop in the neighborhood of St. Johns. The event is free, so nobody suffers the problem of not paying for tickets. Artists were paid through audience donation and venue payouts.
